Best Reissues of 2012 (Alphabetical):

Ground rules:   Releases that consist primarily or exclusively of previously-unreleased material don't count as reissues, they count as new releases (even if the material is old).   Exact repros of non-rare OOP releases are disfavored (thus, no 2012 Bikini Kill or David Kilgour reissues on this list).  The best reissues bring back material that is rare and hard-to-find, and combine it with new packaging, new liner notes, and some previously unreleased material.  And they sound as good or better than the originals.   And they are on a physical format, not a virtual format.  Of course, exceptions to any of these rules can be made (where warranted by the quality of the music).
